Kruggel Lawton is proud to announce that Allison Allman, CPA is the 2025 HERM Award Recipient.
Named after the firm’s founder, Herman K. Kruggel, CPA, the HERM Award was introduced in 2018 and is presented annually to a team member who exemplifies the values and spirit of Kruggel Lawton. Individuals or teams submit nominations for the award, and the winner is selected by an internal committee of senior Kruggel Lawton leaders.
A Senior Manager in the firm’s St. Joseph office, Allison joined the firm in 2019 and focuses on audit, review, and compilation services for nonprofits and school districts. She is also a member of the Kruggel Lawton Women’s Initiative Network (KLWIN) and KLimb to 2030 committees, both of which
she credits for helping shape her experience at KL. Outside of work, she has volunteered with Girls on the Run Southwest Michigan and previously served as treasurer for the Berrien County Cancer Service. She was recently promoted to Senior Manager in August 2025.
“I’m truly honored to receive this award,” said Allison. “I was genuinely surprised — and incredibly humbled — to be considered for the HERM Award. I’m fortunate to work with an amazing team, and they deserve this recognition just as much as I do.”
“Allison represents Kruggel Lawton in a great way,” said Alex Schaeffer, Kruggel Lawton Partner. “I have witnessed her tremendous growth from day one. She always has a positive outlook, and she’s very motivated and serves on a lot of committees. Her strong work ethic combined with her unwavering commitment to excellence in every capacity makes her highly deserving of this award. Congratulations, Allison!”
In her free time, Allison loves to spend time with her husband, daughter, and their two dogs. Although she is profoundly grateful for the honor and attributes much of her success to the firm’s leaders and her team, she is most excited for the opportunity to share this moment with her daughter and affirm that no aspiration is beyond reach.
“When I think about what has brought me to this point, the answer is simple: the leadership at KL,” Allison continued. “I’ve met and worked with inspiring leaders across our offices who helped me find my voice — not only for myself but for others around me. However, the most meaningful part of this award, perhaps, is knowing that one day I’ll be able to show my daughter that she can accomplish anything she sets her mind to.”
