Allison Allman Named MICPA 2026 Women to Watch Emerging Leader Award Recipient

Kruggel Lawton is proud to announce that Allison Allman, CPA, has been selected as the recipient of the 2026 Michigan Association of CPAs (MICPA) Women to Watch – Emerging Leader Award. This award recognizes women who have made significant contributions to the accounting profession through leadership, community involvement, and a commitment to advancing the success of others.

As a Senior Assurance Manager in the firm’s St. Joseph office, she serves nonprofit organizations, municipalities, and school districts while leading the firm’s implementation of new accounting standards. She is also committed to developing future leaders through her involvement in initiatives such as the Kruggel Lawton Women’s Initiative Network (KLWIN) and NextGen. Her leadership and commitment to excellence earned her the firm’s HERM Award in 2025, a recognition presented to individuals who exemplify the values and spirit of Kruggel Lawton.

“This award is especially meaningful because it represents not only my own journey, but also the support, mentorship, and encouragement I’ve received throughout my career,” said Allman. “I hope it serves as a reminder, especially to other women, that it’s possible to pursue big goals, lead confidently, and stay true to what matters most. Receiving this recognition motivates me to continue investing in others and helping the next generation of women see that leadership, integrity, and balance can go hand in hand.”

Beyond her professional accomplishments, Allman is deeply committed to serving others. She volunteers with organizations including Girls on the Run Southwest Michigan, Junior Achievement, and Lake Michigan College’s Accounting Advisory Committee, where she helps inspire and prepare future professionals. She is also actively involved in numerous community initiatives throughout Southwest Michigan, reflecting her passion for mentorship, education, and community engagement.

“Watching Allison grow into a leader at Kruggel Lawton has been one of the most rewarding parts of my career,” said Alex Schaeffer, CPA, Assurance Partner. “Her authenticity, professionalism, and commitment to our people and clients make her an outstanding representative of our firm’s values. I couldn’t be more excited to see her receive this well-deserved recognition.”

Allison will be recognized at the Women to Watch Awards breakfast on October 28th and the Celebrate Awards on November 11th.
