Ashley Meyerdierks has been selected as the 2024 recipient of Kruggel Lawton CPAs’ HERM Award. The HERM Award, introduced in 2018, is presented annually to a team member who exemplifies the values and spirit of Kruggel Lawton. The Award is named after the firm’s founder, Herman K. Kruggel, CPA. A committee of senior Kruggel Lawton leaders selected Ashley from numerous nominations submitted by individuals within the firm.

Ashley is the firm’s Marketing Manager, and she is based in its South Bend, IN office. Ashley joined Kruggel Lawton in 2021, after prior experience in the healthcare, higher education, and real estate industries. Ashley manages the firm’s events, branding, marketing, and communications functions. She also plays an active role in promoting Kruggel Lawton’s values and fostering its culture. She was also recently selected to co-lead the firm’s KLimb to 2030 team, a group of managers selected by partners of the firm to provide input on strategic direction and goal-setting.

Over the past few years, Ashley has received the most nominations for the HERM award from her colleagues. One of the individuals who nominated her commented as follows:  “She does so much work to foster relationships, support firm values, and make KL a great place to work. Her continued efforts with internal committees, work to improve our events, and organize everything that she does is remarkable and reflects our values wholeheartedly.”

"Receiving the HERM Award was a complete surprise," said Ashley. "While I was too overwhelmed in the moment to speak, what I would have shared is that I am so proud to be part of the Kruggel Lawton family. I am surrounded by incredibly smart and caring people, and I am thankful every day to work alongside them. From the bottom of my heart, thank you."

Ashley and her husband Phil live in South Bend with their two dogs Lincoln and Birdie. Ashley currently serves on the board of directors of the Humane Society of St. Joseph County and in her spare time enjoys traveling, reading, and spending time with friends and family.
