Kruggel Lawton CPAs is pleased to announce the relocation of its Elkhart office and the opening of a second office in downtown South Bend, both of which will be operational this December.
In Elkhart, Kruggel Lawton will be moving from its current space in the Tower Bank building at 317 W. Franklin St. to the former Key Bank building on the corner of Main St. and W. Jackson Blvd. Renovations began at 101 S. Main Street earlier this summer on the second and third floors that will be occupied by Kruggel Lawton. The first-floor space is currently available to lease.
“Kruggel Lawton opened its Elkhart office in 2000, and we are incredibly thankful to have developed strong relationships and deep roots within the Elkhart community over the past 24 years,” said Patrick Lee, CPA, Partner at Kruggel Lawton. “The new building not only gives us additional space to accommodate our growing team, but it also solidifies our commitment to the Elkhart community and the continued revitalization of Downtown Elkhart.”
The new building anchors arguably the most prominent intersection in downtown Elkhart and sits on the edge of the River Walk District. The space will accommodate more than 50 people and will have three conference rooms, a training facility, and a large processing area. The Tower Bank building which Kruggel Lawton will occupy through the end of November will be available for purchase or lease through Bradley Company.
The firm’s seventh office will be a new satellite space in downtown South Bend, just a block away from its existing office on S. Michigan St. The Leighton Plaza Office Building, located at 130 S. Main St., will be home to the firm’s South Bend-based Client Accounting and Advisory Services (CAAS) team led by Adam Schwelnus, CPA, CGMA, Partner.
“The rapid growth of our CAAS team over the past five years has been remarkable, and this new office space will allow us to continue expanding our services and capabilities,” said Schwelnus. “It also provides our team with the space and features needed to foster collaboration and learning” said Schwelnus.
While Kruggel Lawton has CAAS staff throughout its Indiana and Michigan offices, the South Bend team alone has nearly doubled since Schwelnus became partner. “Adam and his team have been able to meet the increasing demand for outsourced accounting services by enhancing our consultative offerings,” said Barry Hall, CPA, CGMA, Managing Partner. “Adding a second South Bend office specifically for our fastest growing service line only reinforces our commitment to the needs of our clients.”
The new space will provide space for twenty plus staff and has two separate collaborative spaces. Minor renovations will be completed on the suite this fall, with plans to be operational by December 2024.
