Kruggel Lawton CPAs Welcomes Two Directors to the Firm

Kruggel Lawton is pleased to announce Dan Leyes, CPA, and Seth Timmons, CPA, have joined the firm as Directors in the firm’s business valuation and tax practice areas.

“Bringing on two high-caliber CPAs like Dan and Seth is a tremendous asset to Kruggel Lawton,” said Managing Partner Barry Hall, CPA, CGMA. “Their passion for building strong client connections is evident in their work and the efforts they make to find the right solution, regardless of the time required. Our tax and valuation teams as well as our clients will benefit greatly from their expertise.”

Leyes, who is based in the firm’s South Bend, Indiana office, is the new Director of Business Valuation. With a distinguished career spanning two decades in finance and accounting, he will leverage his expertise and experience to enhance the firm’s service offerings.

“It’s my privilege and pleasure to join the Kruggel team,” said Leyes. “I’m eager to utilize my experience to assist our clients, friends, and communities.”

Leyes has held significant leadership roles in various organizations and was most recently the Director of Finance for a locally based diversified manufacturing company. He also has mid-market and Big-4 accounting experience focused on audit and due diligence services. Leyes graduated from Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana with a B.S. in Accounting and Real Estate Finance. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), the National Association of Certified Valuators and Analysts, and the Indiana CPA Society. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his wife and two children.

Timmons, who previously owned Blossomland Accounting, is based in the firm’s St. Joseph, Michigan office and is a Tax Director. In July of 2011, Timmons joined the Blossomland team and was promoted to partner just seven months later. By 2016, he had acquired the entire business, doubling its size under his leadership. As the firm continued to grow, he grew to miss the day-to-day interactions with his clients and was ready for a change.

“Closing Blossomland and joining Kruggel Lawton is the right move for me,” said Timmons. “I am excited to refocus on tax services and working closely with clients again. The support system at KL aligns perfectly with my desire for a better work-life balance, allowing me to spend more time with my wife and two young children.”

Timmon’s graduated from Grand Valley State in Grand Rapids, Michigan with a B.B.A. in Accounting and Finance. He is a member of the AICPA and the Michigan Association of Certified Public Accountants.
