As of January 1, 2024, the United States required beneficial ownership information reports (BOIR) to be submitted by certain entities under the Corporate Transparency Act and its accompanying regulations (collectively, the CTA).

If your company was created or registered before January 1, 2024, you are required to submit your BOIR by January 1, 2025. If your company was created or registered on or after January 1, 2024, and before January 1, 2025, reporting is required within 90 calendar days of the earlier of receiving actual or public notice that the company's creation/registration is effective.

This information will need to be reported electronically to the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network of the U.S. Treasury Department (FinCEN), through a secure filing system on FinCEN's website. Entities and individuals may be subject to civil or criminal penalties due to a lack of compliance with the CTA.
