Kruggel Lawton CPAs is pleased to announce that Sara Fetke Sweers, CPA, has joined the firm as a partner in the audit and assurance practice effective July 1, 2024. This appointment brings the total number of partners at Kruggel Lawton to 20.
“We are excited to welcome Sara to Kruggel Lawton and the partner group,” said Managing Partner Barry Hall, CPA, CGMA. “Not only does Sara bring a wealth of knowledge, but she is also a strong leader who will be instrumental in expanding our assurance practice in Michigan.”
Fetke Sweers is based in Kruggel Lawton’s Portage, Michigan office and will play an active role in growing the firm’s clientele throughout southwest Michigan. With more than 15 years of experience, she has worked with clients in a variety of industries including manufacturing, distribution, professional service, specialty finance, not-for-profit, and various governmental entities including, school districts, municipalities, and tribal gaming.

Fetke Sweers graduated from Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo, Michigan, with a B.B.A. in Accountancy. She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Michigan Association of CPAs (MICPA). Additionally, Fetke Sweers is a member of the Western Michigan University Haworth College of Business Department of Accountancy Advisory Council and the Women’s Leadership Advisory Committee of Sleeping Giant Capital and is on the YWCA Kalamazoo’s audit committee. Outside of work, Fetke Sweers enjoys spending time with her husband, three children, and their dog. She likes to spend time on their boat salmon fishing on Lake Michigan, attending Western Michigan and Michigan State University sporting events, golfing, and running an occasional half marathon when time allows.
